The tell of my fall.

So I was doing laundry and in order to do that I have to go down very steep stairs. Well I got the laundry in the washer and got it started. As I was going back up the stairs I fell all the way down to the bottom. I am praising the Lord that I did only minor damage. After going to the hospital and having tons of x-rays, only my left knee had to be put back in place. I am still in a lot of pain, have a ton of bruises, but thankful that nothing is broken. I was going to post right after I got the laundry in and finished reading Matthew. So next Friday I will post what I was going to post yesterday. A new series called Family Fridays. So hopefully it will give you all something to look forward to. Please keep me in your prayers because the pain is pretty bad but I am in good spirits.

Monday Movie Review.

Let me first say that I love Netflix!

The movie is called God Grew Tired Of Us. I really enjoyed this movie. Here is a brief glance at what the movie was about,
after raising themselves in the desert along with thousands of other parentless "lost boys," Sudanese refugees John, Daniel and Panther have found their way to America, where they experience electricity, running water and supermarkets for the first time. Capturing their wonder at things Westerners take for granted, this documentary, paints an intimate portrait of strangers in a strange land.

I think that all Americans should see this movie. I felt very thankful for what I have. There is a part in the movie that one of the "lost boys" was speaking about how skinny he was and hoe he dreamed of being fat. Once in America, John is asking about Christmas traditions that exists in America. Wondering about the Christmas tree and Santa. John asked if these things were in the Bible. I thought this movie was very well done and a must see for anyone how thinks that they have it rough.

Maxine has some answers.

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida ....

Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems.. It's a win-win situation.

+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.

+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.

+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today ? Yes!

Think about this one:

1.. Cows
2..The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments

C O W S

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq .... Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:
You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

Scripture Sunday

This is a new series I am starting today. I will take bits and parts of my devotionals, Bible studies, the sermon that is perched at church or on the radio. I hope and pray that you learn something and enjoy this new series.

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

So do you have true joy in you life? Do you want to know how to get it? Well, I'll tell you. If you want true joy in your life, turn joy into an acronym. J.O.Y and it stands for, Jesus first, others second, yourself last. If more people followed this acronym the world world be a much happier and peaceful place.

So I have a girlfriend in California and I was chatting with her on the phone a couple months ago. I was explaining to her that I was reading the house rules for the Duggar Family
and that is where I found that acronym. Then she said, "I teach my chilren that but I just can't get them to follow it." Then I told her that the reason her children will not follow that acronym is because she and her hubby need to set the example. I am just as gulity about not setting the example. Our children deffintly learn most of what they pick up from their parents.
