Mat 6:25 I tell you not to worry about your life. Don't worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn't life more than food or clothing?
Mat 6:32 Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows that you need all of these.
Mat 6:33 But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.
Mat 6:34 Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.
There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this!
When people can walk away from you: let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you,
loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you,
staying attached to you.
I mean hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.
People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you,
you can't make them stay.
Let them go.
And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person,
it just means that their part in the story is over.
And you've got to know when people's
part in your story is over so that you
don't keep trying to raise the dead.
You've got to know when it's dead.
You've got to know when it's over.
Let me tell you something.
I've got the gift of good-bye.
It's the tenth spiritual gift,
I believe in good-bye.
It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful,
and I know whatever God means for me to have
He'll give it to me.
And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it.
Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!!
If you are holding on to something
that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life,
then you need to .GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains.
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth...
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If someone has angered you ...
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge .
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction .
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or
talents .
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you have a bad attitude...
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better...
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new
level in Him...
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship....
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help
themselves..
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed ....
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling
yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need
to...
GIVE IT TO GOD & LET IT GO!!
Let the past be the past.
Forget the former things.
GOD is doing a new thing for 2009!!
"The Battle is the Lord's!"
This was a T.D. Jakes poem but I added my own wording to it. I would never want to take anyone ones work and pretend it was my own.

Scripture Sunday
Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, that you be not judged."
I know that when I was younger I had all these notions that people should be and act a certain way. Well now that I am older and maybe a little wiser, I try not to judge anyone. Now I am not saying I am perfect but I am definitely more accepting of others. I think that life has taught me a few lessons in this area. I think this because it has hurt me when people judge me.
I used to be so judgmental. I was very narrow minded and if things weren't a certain way then you were wrong. After I had my first son (and of course I was an expert in parenting, haha) I breastfed him for a year and I thought any mother that gave their baby formula was lazy. Now 6 kids later I realize that every baby is different and every family is different. I used to think that my house had to look like could be on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens at all times. I would mop my floor on my hands and knees every night. Now I realize that time goes by very fast. I think of it this way, will my kids have fond memories of my cleaning the house or doing something with them. There is a time for cleaning but I think as I have aged I am not as uptight about it.
When my oldest son was three he was diagnosed with autism. I was 24 years old and had no idea what autism was or how to deal with it. So to say the least being in public was always a challenge. So one day we as a family went to Hometown Buffet. Everything was going fine until it was time to leave. At that point Devin started screaming, crying, and got under the table and was holding on for dear life. Then a women (most likely in her mid 50's) came over and said, "all that boy needs is a good, hard spanking!" So with tear soaked eyes I turned to her and said, "thank you mam, I did not know that that was the cure for autism." The point to that story is that you do not walk in another shoes, so you should not judge them. Just love them and help them.

Scripture Sunday
This is a new series I am starting today. I will take bits and parts of my devotionals, Bible studies, the sermon that is perched at church or on the radio. I hope and pray that you learn something and enjoy this new series.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
So do you have true joy in you life? Do you want to know how to get it? Well, I'll tell you. If you want true joy in your life, turn joy into an acronym. J.O.Y and it stands for, Jesus first, others second, yourself last. If more people followed this acronym the world world be a much happier and peaceful place.
So I have a girlfriend in California and I was chatting with her on the phone a couple months ago. I was explaining to her that I was reading the house rules for the Duggar Family and that is where I found that acronym. Then she said, "I teach my chilren that but I just can't get them to follow it." Then I told her that the reason her children will not follow that acronym is because she and her hubby need to set the example. I am just as gulity about not setting the example. Our children deffintly learn most of what they pick up from their parents.
